Gala Day 2001

Saturday, June 16th, 2001.

The 2001 Gala Day had lots to offer for all ages, and many people from the village came out to enjoy the day. The weather was okay after earlier worries that rain would spoil the day, and the activities began at about 2pm and went on to after 5pm.

This was followed by a family ceilidh in the marquee in the evening starting at 7pm.

Activities included the following:
Afternoon
Bouncy castle Bouncy slides
Cup and saucer Putting contest
Hamburgers and refreshments Live music from Urban Swallow
Coconut shies Balloons
Face painting Cuddly toys
Cream Teas Beat the keeper
Bottle stall Tea and baking
Evening
Family ceilidh with music from a local band, a two course supper and refreshments
